Dy CM directs for AC in dist hospital emergency ward

Gorakhpur: Deputy chief minister and state minister of health Brajesh Pathak conducted a surprise inspection of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose District Hospital on Saturday, reviewing healthcare services and hospital facilities. Pathak expressed displeasure over absence of air-conditioning in the emergency ward and instructed the chief medical officer to install AC units without delay, stressing that patients should not face discomfort. He also directed officials to ensure issue of Ayushman Bharat cards to all eligible beneficiaries.During the visit, Pathak inspected the emergency ward, medicine distribution system, cleanliness, availability of medical equipment and other patient-care arrangements. He interacted with patients and their attendants to assess the quality of treatment and facilities being provided. Several patients raised concerns, prompting the deputy chief minister to direct officials to address them immediately.On the occasion, Pathak said the district hospital would be upgraded with modern facilities and developed into a high-tech healthcare institution. He warned that negligence in health services would not be tolerated and reiterated govt’s commitment to providing quality treatment to all patients.After planting a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, Pathak chaired a review meeting with health department officials. He assessed the implementation of national health programmes, availability of medicines,doctors’ attendance, Ayushman Bharat scheme coverage, maternal and child healthcare services, and hospital infrastructure.
