DU opens admission for 2 year PG, 1 year schedule to be announced soon

New Delhi: Delhi University has opened registrations for its two-year postgraduate programmes for the 2026–27 academic session, while admissions for one-year PG courses will begin shortly on a separate portal, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) framework.Registrations for the two-year MA and other PG programmes began on May 16 and will remain open till June 7 (11:59 pm) through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-PG) portal. Admissions will be based solely on scores obtained in CUET (PG) 2026, making it essential for applicants to ensure they have appeared in the relevant test papers and meet programme-specific eligibility criteria listed in the university’s PG bulletin of information.Students currently in the third or fourth year of their undergraduate programmes are eligible to apply for the two-year master’s courses, provided they fulfill the academic requirements. The university has clarified that seat allocation will be conducted centrally through the CSAS portal, with no weightage given to undergraduate marks beyond minimum eligibility. The application fee has been set at Rs250 per programme for candidates in the UR, OBC-NCL and EWS categories and Rs100 per programme for SC, ST and PwBD applicants. The fee is non-refundable.DU has introduced an auto-integration feature that uses DigiLocker and API Setu to simplify the application process. This will allow candidates’ personal details—including name, date of birth, category and CUET scores—to be fetched directly from official databases, reducing the chances of errors and duplication while improving data security.Meanwhile, the university said admissions for one-year postgraduate programmes will be announced shortly. These courses will be open primarily to students completing a four-year undergraduate degree under NEP, especially those with a major in the relevant subject or a research track.Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official admission website for updates on schedules, eligibility criteria and admission lists.
