Hyderabad: A late-night drunk driving incident in upscale Jubilee Hills area ended with a car crashing into the residence of Tollywood actor Dharma, causing damage to the compound wall of his house.According to Jubilee Hills police, the accident occurred on Road No. 10 on Thursday night. The accused, identified as Karthik Kumar, a resident of MLA & MP Colony, allegedly drove his SUV in a rash and negligent manner before losing control and ramming into the actor’s residence.

The impact damaged the compound wall. While no injuries were reported, the accused was caught by locals immediately after the crash.Noticing that Karthik appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, they alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and took him into custody. A breathalyser test reportedly confirmed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.Police subsequently registered a criminal case against him and initiated further investigation.Actor Dharma was reportedly at home when the accident occurred. Videos and photographs of the damaged property and the aftermath of the crash were recorded by residents and quickly circulated on social media.Police are also verifying the ownership details of the SUV involved in the accident.
