The students sat at the school’s main gate, claiming rainwater regularly accumulates at the entrance, while hostel rooms and classrooms have cracked walls and other structural problems. They also complained about non-functional toilets, inadequate basic amenities, and a shortage of trained teachers. The protesters said they had repeatedly raised the issues with the school administration and principal, but no effective action had been taken, leaving them with no option but to protest.Following the demonstration, officials from the education department, including the district education officer, joint director for Jaipur division and chief block education officer, visited the school to assess the situation. The department announced a special committee to examine sanitation, drinking water facilities, the condition of buildings, and other infrastructure. Officials said the panel would submit its report shortly.

“Children had raised these issues, and we were in talks with the department to address them. After the protest, a team reached the school and inspected the facilities. Waterlogging at the main gate is a recurring problem every monsoon. The hostels also do not have a permanent warden. A committee has now been formed to resolve these issues at the earliest,” a senior member of the school administration said. The administration added that the department has sanctioned Rs 25 lakh for infrastructure maintenance at the school.Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully also visited the school and met the protesting students.“It is deeply saddening that these children were compelled to protest just to voice their grievances. I urge Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to send a special team to address their issues so that they can pursue their education effectively,” Gehlot said.Jully alleged BJP govt had failed to provide even basic facilities to children with disabilities and criticised its handling of the education sector.
