Shimla: Air connectivity in Himachal Pradesh is set for a boost as Alliance Air Aviation Limited resumes flight operations on the Delhi–Shimla–Delhi sector from May 10, while services on the Shimla–Dharamshala–Shimla route will begin from May 11.Flights between Delhi and Shimla had remained suspended since October last year. Their resumption is expected to strengthen inter- and intra-state connectivity and give fresh momentum to tourism and economic activity in the hill state.According to an official statement, Delhi–Shimla flights will operate six days a week — Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the flight will depart Delhi at 7.20 am and land in Shimla at 8.35 am, with the return leg leaving Shimla at 11.30 am and reaching Delhi at 12.40 pm.On Saturdays, the flight will depart Delhi at 7.50 am and arrive in Shimla at 9.05 am, while the return service will take off at 12 noon and reach Delhi at 1.10 pm. On Sundays, the flight will depart Delhi at 6.20 am and reach Shimla at 7.35 am, with the return leg leaving Shimla at 8 am and arriving in Delhi at 9.10 am.The Shimla–Dharamshala service will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On weekdays, the flight will depart Shimla at 9 am and reach Dharamshala at 9.50 am, while the return flight will leave Dharamshala at 10.15 am and land in Shimla at 11.05 am.On Saturdays, the Shimla–Dharamshala flight will take off at 9.30 am and arrive at 10.20 am, with the return service departing Dharamshala at 10.45 am and reaching Shimla at 11.35 am.
