Gurgaon: A 33-year-old Delhi Police constable was killed after a truck hit his motorcycle near Khawaspur village in Farrukhnagar on Monday morning, one of three people who died in separate road accidents in the city.Amit Yadav, a resident of Banslambi village, was returning home after duty when the accident occurred near Pradhan Hotel on the service road around 9.30 am. According to a complaint filed by his cousin, Aman, he received information about the crash and reached the spot, where he found the truck and Yadav’s damaged motorcycle.People at the scene told him that passersby had taken Amit to a hospital. He later reached Silver Streak Hospital, where doctors told him that Yadav had died of his injuries during the treatment.Aman alleged that the truck driver was speeding and driving negligently when it hit Yadav’s bike. The driver remains unidentified.Yadav joined Delhi Police in 2016 and was posted at the DCP East office. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, aged seven and five, and a sister. He was the only son in his family and had been married for nine years.Police registered an FIR under Sections 106 (causing death due to negligence), 281 (rash driving) and 125(a) (doing any rash or negligent act that endangers human life) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).In two other road accidents, a 24-year-old woman, Pooja Bisht, died after a Maruti WagonR allegedly hit her and her friend while they were crossing the road near a Honda showroom, shortly before Manesar bus stand, on Sunday. The car, bearing registration number HR 26 FX 1084, was travelling from Dharuhera towards the city.According to her friend Anuradha’s complaint, Pooja and she fell on the road following the collision. Passersby took them to Prakash Hospital, where Pooja died during treatment. Anuradha sustained minor injuries. The driver is yet to be identified. Police have registered a case under Sections 281 and 106 of the BNS at Manesar police station.In the other accident, Surjeet died after an unidentified vehicle allegedly hit the motorcycle on which he was riding pillion on SPR Road in Sector 71 on Oct 9. According to a complaint filed by his wife, Juli, Surjeet and his friend Ritik were travelling to the city to attend a fair on a Pulsar motorcycle.Surjeet was taken for treatment but later died at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi on Sunday, following which police registered an FIR under Sections 281 and 106 of the BNS at Badshahpur police station.
