Deal to adopt govt schools was done long ago: Shivakumar

Amid pushback from several private educational institutions over adopting govt schools, chief minister DK Shivakumar Saturday said it is a step towards improving quality of education.“By encouraging prominent and large private school managements from urban areas to adopt govt schools free of cost, we are asking them to help out,” the CM said in Chitradurga while clarifying that this won’t apply to all private schools.Agreements are being worked out under CSR funding with financially strong and capable schools to adopt rural govt institutions, he said, adding: “If schools are protesting, let them talk to me. The agreement was done long ago.“
