Panchkula: Deputy commissioner Satpal Sharma Thursday directed all departments to coordinate with the health department, organise special camps and identify eligible beneficiaries to accelerate the preparation of Ayushman Cards under the Ayushman Bharat and Chirayu Haryana schemes.Chairing a review meeting at the mini secretariat, Sharma stressed that no eligible citizen should be deprived of the benefits of the scheme. He asked departments to make effective use of their field staff and beneficiary data to conduct awareness campaigns in villages, wards and urban areas and ensure maximum turnout at the camps.Dr Vikas Gupta, nodal officer for Ayushman Bharat, briefed officials on eligibility criteria, the card-generation process and the cashless treatment facilities available at empanelled hospitals.Representatives of participating departments assured full cooperation in the campaign and pledged to work in close coordination to achieve 100% coverage of eligible beneficiaries in the district. The DC also directed officials to meet targets within the stipulated timeframe and ensure regular monitoring and review of the drive.
