Varanasi: A couple died after the wall of an old rented house collapsed amid heavy rainfall in the Manduwadih area early Tuesday.The deceased were identified as Ravindra Nath Mishra (60) and his wife, Pratima (55).According to police, the couple were natives of Dumaria in Jharkhand. Their relatives have been informed using phone numbers recovered from their belongings. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination.In a separate incident in Seer Govardhan under Lanka police station limits, a mud house collapsed on Tuesday morning, killing a goat and injuring a couple identified as Nirmala and Ramji.Police reached the spot, rescued the injured couple and admitted them to the trauma centre for treatment.
