Kolkata: A resident of Ballygunge Park, alleged continuous stalking, harassment, and intimidation of her 14-year-old minor daughter within the complex premises. Based on her complaint, the Karaya police has registered a FIR.The complainant, a medical professional and an assistant professor at a state medical institute, has escalated the matter to the state administration, citing absolute police apathy.According to the official complaint, two unauthorized individuals, who neither own any apartment nor hold any employment within the cooperative society , have been unlawfully frequenting and occupying space inside the premises. The duo has been repeatedly accused of stalking the minor girl, passing inappropriate comments, and creating an atmosphere of deep distress, particularly when she leaves for school and returns home.The situation is further aggravated by parental constraints. While the mother remains occupied at her hospital during working hours, the child’s father is a citizen of the United States, leaving the minor without immediate parental supervision for significant parts of the day. This absence has reportedly rendered the child highly vulnerable to the continuous torment, pushing her into severe stress and anxiety.The family had previously approached the local police station, lodging a general diary earlier this year. However, the mother alleged that the local officials exhibited a wholly indifferent attitude and failed to take any meaningful action. Frustrated by the systemic delay, she has now demanded swift administrative intervention rather than prolonged procedural technicalities.The complainant has demanded the immediate removal of the two unauthorized individuals from the housing society and requested a restraining order prohibiting them from entering a two-kilometer radius of the complex. Furthermore, the petition seeks directives for the housing society to implement stringent security measures and calls upon law enforcement to guarantee full protection for the minor. The victim has expressed willingness to record her statement under necessary legal safeguards, as residents demand immediate preventive measures to ensure the safety and dignity of the family.
