Hyderabad: Four workers have been arrested for allegedly murdering an unidentified person at their company godown in Mailardevpally on June 25.Around 2 am on June 25, four workers — Balaji, 39, from Bidar in Karnataka, Nayan Mandal, 23, Uttam Bera, 35, from West Bengal, and Prem Parihar, 26, from Bahadurpura, who were accommodated in workers’ quarters at Swastik Shiva Decorators tenthouse company godown at Pallecheruvu under Mailardevpally PS limits, spotted a stranger moving on their godown premises.The unidentified person, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, entered the godown. He was moving around in a suspicious manner. The four workers intercepted him and demanded an explanation for his presence at the godown.“When he failed to give a satisfactory response and turned aggressive, the four accused workers assaulted him and confined him inside the kitchen of the godown. He subsequently died there,” deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Rajendranagar, S Srinivas said.After the incident, the workers informed their employer, who in turn approached the Mailardevpally police on June 25 morning. Police shifted the body for a post-mortem examination and booked a case under Section 103(1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the labourers.On Saturday, the four accused were arrested from the godown and produced before a magistrate. They were remanded in judicial custody.
