Hyderabad: Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday demanded accountability from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Union education ministry over the cancellation of NEET due to a paper leak.“The cancellation of NEET , which was conducted on May 3, has created uncertainty among students and raised concerns over their academic future. The cancellation, and then a new date of exam will cause more anxiety among students and their parents,” he said.He alleged that students are facing the risk of losing an academic year due to the cancellation of the examination and said the BJP govt must initiate a serious discussion on the issue.He also demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the alleged NEET paper leakage incident reported in Rajasthan and urged the Central govt to take immediate measures to ensure that students do not suffer academic loss due to the cancellation of the exam.Kiran Kumar Reddy questioned the Centre’s sincerity in governance and asked whether the BJP govt had any concern for the future of students and the needs of common people.The Congress MP stated that parents had spent their hard-earned money on coaching and preparation for their children to appear for the NEET examination, and said the Centre must take complete responsibility for the situation.
