Lucknow: Citing the alleged NEET paper leak, Youth Congress and NSUI leaders on Thursday accused the Union govt of failing to protect the integrity of competitive examinations.Addressing a joint press conference at the UP Congress office in Lucknow, Indian Youth Congress (central zone) acting president Ankit Tiwari and National Students’ Union of India central zone president Anas Rahman claimed the alleged leak shattered the confidence of lakhs of students and parents across the country.Tiwari claimed that more than 80 recruitment and entrance examinations were embroiled in paper leak controversies over the past decade, including police and lekhpal recruitment exams.“The double-engine govt has now become a paper leak industry,” he said, alleging that “paper mafias” were operating under political protection while students continued to suffer despite years of hard work.Rahman said the National Testing Agency (NTA) completely lost its credibility and demanded a high-level and impartial probe into the alleged NEET paper leak.Congress leaders demanded the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, the dissolution of the NTA and the formation of a new agency to ensure transparency and security in examinations. The leaders warned of an agitation if the govt failed to address students’ concerns.
