Gorakhpur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will lead a grand Tiranga Yatra in Gorakhpur on Aug 10 as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day (Aug 14) and Independence Day (Aug 15).The yatra will begin from the statue of Rani Lakshmibai on the Nagar Nigam premises and culminate at the statue of Maharana Pratap near Railway Station Chowk. Through the event, the CM will urge citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes and actively participate in the campaign, officials informed.The UP govt has set a target of hoisting the Tricolour at five crore households across the state this year. To achieve the goal, a series of awareness and outreach programmes, including Tiranga Yatras, are being organised across districts.According to officials, the statewide campaign will be launched by the CM in Lucknow on August 9, coinciding with the anniversary of the historic Kakori Train Action. The Gorakhpur event will follow the next day.Mayor Manglesh Srivastava said extensive preparations are underway to make the yatra a grand public event. The procession will start after CM Yogi pays floral tributes at the Rani Lakshmibai statue. It will pass through Golghar Chowk, Kali Mandir and the Traffic Tiraha before reaching Railway Station Chowk, where the CM will offer tributes at the Maharana Pratap statue, marking the conclusion of the march.The campaign aims to transform *Har Ghar Tiranga* into a mass movement and encourage wider public participation in celebrating the nation’s independence.
