Central forces strong enough: Shah assures voters | Kolkata News

Kolkata: Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday assured voters that the Election Commission’s central forces arrangement was “strong enough” and voters had no reason to be scared of Trinamool’s “musclemen”.“EC has made a strong arrangement of central forces. No voter should be afraid,” Shah said at a rally in Arambagh around the time the first phase polls were drawing to an end.“None of Trinamool’s goons could even look at the voters,” Shah said, issuing a warning that any disruptions on April 29 would be met with strict action after May 5.Ahead of his two rallies, Shah spent much of Thursday morning at BJP‘s “war room” in Salt Lake monitoring the first phase elections.Shah further said that the high turnout in the first phase showed that “time had come to say tata bye bye to Didi.”Promising that BJP would take a strong stance against infiltration if it is voted in, Shah said, “None can infiltrate Bengal when BJP is in govt. Those who managed to infiltrate will be driven out.”
