Cent per cent results for CISCE Class X and XII students in Goa

Panaji: At the results for the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared on Thursday, all six schools for the Class X (ICSE) exams and three schools for the Class XII (ISC) exams secured cent per cent results. For the Class X exams, 383 students appeared— 212 boys and 171 girls, while 90 answered Class XII exams— 35 boys and 55 girls.From Sharada Mandir School, Miramar, 175 students appeared for Class X exam, with the highest percentage scored by Kavin Acharya and Krishn Kamat Tarkar with 99.2%. Avani Shenoy and Athan Pereira both scored 98.3%, followed by 98.2% by Vardhan Salgaonkar.From the school, 156 students secured a distinction, out of which 69 students got 90% and above and 19 got first class, said school principal Sharmila Umesh.For the Class XII exams from Sharada Mandir School, 62 students appeared— 25 in humanities, 19 in science, and 18 in commerce. The school said that 55 students secured a distinction, of which 21 got 90% and above and seven got first class.In humanities, Anaya Do Rosario Mukerjie and Ifra Khan had the highest score of 96.2%. In science, Kayaan Chhabra had top score of 96% and commerce topper was Shriyaan Kamat with 95.4%.Manovikas English Medium School, Margao, had 130 ICSE students and 101 secured distinction, with 50 securing 90% and above.In the ICSE section, Kavish Borkar topped the school with 98.8%, followed closely by Ved Shenvi Lotliker with 98%. Diya Pereira secured the third position with 97.6%.In ISC’s science stream, Blaine Rebello secured the first position with 95.2%. In commerce, Pooja Mirdha secured the first position with 90%, while, under the humanities stream, Savana D’Costa emerged as the topper with 95.5%.“The achievement is a matter of great pride for the school,” said principal Geetanjali Rallabandi.Julliet Ayyaswamy, the principal of GVM’S Utkarsh Vidyamandir, Ponda, said that for the ICSE, 38 students appeared, of which 30 secured distinction and eight had first class. The highest percentage of 97.6% was scored by Ayushi Naik, followed by Varad Palvankar and Sanvi Dhawas at second place with 96.6%, and Swaraj Gapat and Kirti Phadte with 93.8% at the third position.Principal of St Andrew’s School, Vasco, Russell Coutinho, said that at the Class X results, 12 students scored distinction, 10 got a first class, and one got a second class. The school topper was Drishti Naik with 92.2%. For ISC, two students scored distinction and seven got a first class. The topper was Ria Fernandes in science stream with 81.2% and Rudra Mandrekar in commerce stream with 89.4%.The first batch from Sharada Mandir School, Kadamba Plateau for the Class X exams. Shrisha Gawas scored 95%, followed by Gaurav Rajput at 91.2%, and Grace Makkimane 90.2%. From the school, 14 appeared for the exam, nine secured a distinction, of which three got 90% and above and five students got first class.
