Vasco: Occupants of a Maruti Ertiga had a miraculous escape after the vehicle crashed into a roadside electricity pole while travelling towards Mangor Hill early on Tuesday.Police suspect the driver may have lost control of the vehicle, causing it to ram into the pole.The accident damaged the electricity pole and overhead wires, resulting in losses of around Rs 70,000 to the electricity department and triggering a power outage in the locality.“The accident led to a power cut in the locality. Electricity department personnel rushed to the site and commenced restoration work. Power supply was restored after several hours,” said Suraj Waghmare, assistant engineer, electricity department, Vasco.Traffic was disrupted for some time, with Vasco police and traffic personnel regulating the movement of vehicles.
