Central Railway Suspends Mumbai Harbour Line for Maintenance Sunday

Mumbai: Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will operate a major engineering and maintenance block on Sunday to carry out essential infrastructure upkeep and safety work. On the Main Line, slow line services between Matunga and Mulund will be diverted to the fast lines between 11.05 am and 3.55 pm.Harbour Line operations between CSMT and Chunabhatti / Bandra will remain completely suspended from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm on the Down line and 11.10 am to 4.10 pm on the Up line.On the Main line, trains running in both Up and Down directions will halt at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, and Mulund before being re-diverted to the slow tracks. All local trains arriving at or departing from CSMT between 11 am and 5 pm will run approximately 15 minutes behind schedule.To assist commuters during the block, special local trains will run every 20 minutes between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No. 8), an official said. Additionally, Harbour Line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway routes between 10 am and 6 pm.Trans-Harbour and Port Line services will run as per schedule. Railway authorities have requested passengers to plan their journeys accordingly.
