Broken roads, clogged drains & dirty parks: What ails this sector
The sector has frequent water pipeline damage, uncollected waste, poor infrastructure, including faulty sewer layouts

Noida: Residents of Sector 3 in Greater Noida West expressed frustration over years of waiting for action on unresolved civic problems: broken roads, poor block connectivity, damaged boundary walls, drains uncleaned for nine months and severe waterlogging issues with no proper outlet despite a decade of habitation. The sector has frequent water pipeline damage, uncollected waste, poor infrastructure, including faulty sewer layouts, no community centre and poorly maintained parks.During a recent community meeting in the sector, residents stressed the urgent need to repair roads connecting the B block to nearby blocks. They said the roads, especially those linking Blocks B to C and D, are in dangerous condition, making travel hard, particularly during the rainy season.Deo Raj Tiwari, a resident of Sector 3, emphasised the urgency of repairs to the 210-metre section of the 24-metre-wide road connecting Blocks B and D, as well as the resurfacing of roads near Aster School. “The state of these roads can be hazardous, especially with the approaching monsoon,” Tiwari said, urging GNIDA to take swift action. The meeting concluded with a strategic plan for a general body meeting, aimed at rallying support from all residents of B-Block and engaging with GNIDA officials to facilitate action on the issues.Further, residents complained of the damaged boundary wall at four spots in Blocks B and D of the 24-metre-wide road.As the monsoon approaches, residents call for action to ensure safer roads and improved drainage solutions for the sector. GNIDA officials from the drain and sewer department assured redress of choked drains, while on broken roads, a response is awaited.
