Guwahati: The recovery of Tutumoni Duwara’s body on Tuesday brought a tragic end to a 10-day search for four members of a family swept away by flash floods in Assam’s Charaideo district.With the recovery, all four members of the Duwara family, who went missing at Lakwa Abhayapuri village on July 19, have been found dead.The tragedy occurred after flash floods suddenly inundated Rohini Duwara’s house. According to villagers, his wife, Tutumoni, and their daughter, Bidisha, were swept away while trying to move to a safer location.The couple’s sons, Bidyut and Biplab, entered the raging floodwaters in an attempt to rescue them, but were also carried away by the strong current.The bodies of Bidisha, Bidyut and Biplab were recovered on July 23, while the search for Tutumoni continued until Tuesday.
