Varanasi: Police have announced a cash reward of Rs 25,000 each for five accused in the lynching of a 36-year-old businessman on April 26 night after his car hit a woman washing utensils on the roadside in Ghamhapur village under Pindra police station area.A 36-year-old businessman, Manish Singh, was lynched by a mob after his car hit a woman washing utensils along the road in the Phulpur area of Varanasi. The incident occurred when Singh was returning home from his factory. The car went out of control while passing through the Ghamhapur village road and hit the woman. She suffered injuries. Manish came out of his car to check on her.DCP Gomati zone Neetu Kadian said that four accused — Manoj Prajapati, Harishchandra Rajbhar, Yogendra Prajapati and Abhishek alias Buddhu — were arrested by Tuesday. Raids to arrest other accused were being carried out.She said a cash reward of Rs 25,000 each was announced for five others, including Ashish Rajbhar, Manish Rajbhar, Deepak Rajbhar, Govind Rajbhar and Nagendra Rajbhar.Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Rai reached Manish’s house in Ghamhapur to meet his family members. He demanded justice, compensation of Rs 2 crore and a govt job for the family of the deceased.
