Chandigarh: A biker was killed and the woman riding pillion injured when a motorcycle in front of them took a sudden turn, leading to a collision near the roundabout of sectors 39/40/55/56. The deceased is Mandeep, 24, a resident of Ambala, Haryana. Antima Pal, 23, resident of Behlolpur village in Mohali, said Mandeep picked her up at around 10am on Friday. They were on their way to Sector 43, when the motorcyclist in front of them suddenly swerved towards the slip road. She said Mandeep lost his balance due to this and fell onto the road, suffering injuries. The victims were rushed to GMSH-16, but Mandeep could not survive. Antima was referred to PGI due to serious injuries. She alleged that the accident took place due to rash and negligent driving.MSID:: 130715826 413 |
