Bengaluru techie ends life, accuses wife & family of harassment

Bengaluru: Allegedly harassed by his wife and her family, a newlywed techie died by suicide by hanging from a tree at Aratabele village in Kanakapura, Bengaluru South district, Sunday.The victim Roshan Jameer, who worked with a private firm in Jayanagar, had married Ikra Fatima one month ago. But Fatima returned to her parents’ home a week after marriage, citing differences, police said. However, Jameer would continue to visit her regularly.Jameer’s family alleged to police that Fatima’s parents had insulted him. When Jameer was in office, they entered his house and took away Fatima’s valuables. They also filed a false domestic violence case against Jameer at Basavanagudi women’s police station.Police said Jameer left behind a message on his mobile, accusing Fatima, her parents and others of abetting his suicide through harassment.
