Bengaluru: MVJ College of Engineering Monday said it hosted its flagship academic event, Project Expo 2026, on May 9, bringing together student innovators, industry experts and academicians under the theme, Youth and Innovation: Building Modern India.The event was held at Dr MV Jayaraman auditorium and featured projects from mechanical, computer science and electrical science streams.The expo saw participation from 41 colleges across Karnataka and neighbouring states, with more than 250 projects presented. Around 60 projects were shortlisted for the final round after a multi-stage evaluation process.Speakers said innovation, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and emerging technologies aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. A book, Engineering Tomorrow: A Compendium of Youth Innovations, was released during the inaugural session.The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony carrying a total cash prize pool of Rs 2 lakh.
