Bengaluru: In a swift late-night operation, Hoysala police recovered a mobile phone within minutes of it being snatched near Ambedkar Nagar Sunday.The incident occurred at 11.58pm when a delivery executive was allegedly targeted by a car driver, who snatched his phone and sped away following a road rage incident. The victim immediately dialled the emergency helpline 112. A Hoysala patrol team, led by assistant sub-inspector Venkataramu and head constable Anil Kumar, reached the spot within five minutes and called the stolen number. When the accused answered, the ASI warned him of strict legal action and asked him to return the phone.Panicked, the accused returned to the scene and handed over the device.A senior officer said no formal complaint was filed. Initially treated as a snatching case, police later identified it as a road rage incident and brought both parties to Whitefield police station, where they reached a compromise.
