Baleno, Aura repeatedly ram each other in Sector 38 road rage

Gurgaon: A day after a video of a Thar repeatedly ramming into a cab in Sector 89 went viral, another road rage video surfaced on Saturday, this time from Sector 38. It shows two car drivers allegedly ramming their vehicles into each other following an altercation.The video involves a Maruti Baleno and a Hyundai Aura. At one point, a man is seen being struck by one of the vehicles. The car then appears to move towards him again, in what seems to be an attempt to run him over, before he narrowly moves out of its path.Personnel at Sadar police station, under whose jurisdiction the area falls, said no complaint had been received in connection with the incident and no FIR had been registered.The circumstances leading to the altercation, the identities of those involved and whether anyone was injured are yet to be established. Police are expected to verify the video and ascertain the sequence of events if a complaint is submitted.The Sector 89 incident involved four men travelling in a Delhi-registered Thar, who allegedly got into a fight. Police said the argument inside the SUV turned physical, after which two of the men booked a Rapido cab to leave the spot. As they were getting into the cab, the Thar driver allegedly drove towards it and rammed it. He then reversed the SUV, accelerated and struck the cab several times.The impact deployed both front airbags of the cab and caused extensive damage to its front and side. The cab driver and two passengers escaped unhurt.Passersby recorded the incident, and the video showed the Thar driver fleeing after the crashes. Witnesses told police that the men appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, though this was yet to be verified.The cab driver approached Kherki Daula police station. Police said they were using the Thar’s registration number to identify those involved and examining footage recorded at the spot.
