HYDERABAD: Top leadership of Congress party has reportedly made up its mind to either ask embattled endowments minister Konda Surekha to quit or drop her from the Revanth Reddy’s cabinet, AICC sources saidThe indication came after senior leader and general secretary (organisation), K C Venugopal, refused to meet Surekha on Wednesday.Party president Mallikarjun Kharge also discussed the issue with CM Revanth Reddy, deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and AICC in charge Meenakshi Natarajan. If a decision on Surekha and G Chinna Reddy is not taken by Wednesday night, the CM and top leaders are likely to meet Rahul Gandhi late on Wednesday night or Thursday, following which a final decision could be taken, a senior AICC leader told TOI.Meanwhile, defiant Surekha said she will not quit stating that action should also be taken against Revanth Reddy if action was taken against her.Sources told TOI that the minister reportedly told Kharge that her daughter K Sushmitha could have been provoked by the statement of the CM who announced that the Parkal sitting MLA would again contest from the same seat.
