Bathinda: Kidney stones have been found in both the kidneys of Amritpal Singh Mehron, the main accused in the killing of social media influencer Kanchan Kumari aka Kamal Bhabhi, according to his counsel Manpreet Singh Brar.Menhron was brought from Bathinda’s central jail to civil hospital on Wednesday, where doctors detected the stones after performing an ultrasound test.Mehron has been given medicines and sent back to jail. Health authorities have asked the jail authorities to approach AIIMS, Bathinda, if he again complained of uneasiness.Brar said Mehron had been feeling uneasy for some days, after which an application was moved in court to get him checked and treated. An 8.8 mm stone was found in one kidney and a 9.2 mm stone in the other.Charges under murder and criminal conspiracy were filed against Mehron and co-accused Ranjit Singh in Bathinda court on Aug 10. The next hearing is on Sept 22.Kumari was found murdered in her car in the parking lot of Adesh Medical University on Jun 11, 2025. Mehron along with others was named in the murder case as Mehron had left India after the murder. He was deported from the UAE on Apr 10, 2026, and was taken into custody upon his arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.
