Alwar: A youth climbed a peepal tree at the Garhisavairam Community Health Center in Alwar district Monday and sat on a branch with a noose around his neck after alleging an on-duty doctor slapped him. He came down about eight hours later after the administration shifted two doctors from the centre.The youth, identified as Umedilal alias Pujari of Choondala village, said he arrived at the health centre with his ailing wife for treatment around noon when an argument broke out in the ward. He alleged the doctor “lost his temper and slapped” him.After the incident, Umedilal climbed the tree on the hospital premises and refused to come down, insisting on action against the doctor. A crowd gathered as police and administrative officials reached the spot.Rajgarh DSP Deshraj Kuldeep was among those present. Officials later issued orders making Dr. Ramesh Meena and Dr. Kusum Meena APO and directed them to mark attendance at the CMHO office in Alwar. After the orders, Umedilal came down from the tree.
