Ahmedabad: A six-year-old boy who went missing from Andhjan Mandal BRTS station in Vastrapur on Sep 9 was safely traced and reunited with his family through the coordinated efforts of Ahmedabad Janmarg Ltd. (AJL), the BRTS Command and Control Centre (CCC), CCTV surveillance teams and station staff.According to officials, ticketing staff at the Andhjan Mandal BRTS station alerted the CCC after the boy was reported missing. As the child was unable to speak, officials immediately obtained his photograph, circulated it across BRTS communication groups and began monitoring CCTV feeds across the network.During the review of camera footage, the boy was seen boarding bus number CA23 on Route No. 12 heading towards Rabari Colony. Using the Automatic Vehicle Location System (AVLS), officials tracked the bus in real time and alerted stations along the route.Continuous surveillance and coordination eventually led staff to trace the child at the BRTS workshop near Chandola Lake. He was kept safe by BRTS personnel until his father arrived to take him home.Officials said the successful operation was made possible through prompt action, CCTV monitoring, AVLS tracking and coordination among BRTS teams and station staff. The child’s father expressed gratitude to the BRTS personnel for their quick response and humanitarian efforts.
