Gandhinagar: The Gujarat education department has taken a major administrative step to improve efficiency by bifurcating district education officer (DEO) offices in six districts. According to an official notification, the move is aimed at streamlining governance and speeding up educational administration at the local level.The districts affected by the restructuring are Ahmedabad City, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Kutch-Bhuj, Rajkot and Surat.In Ahmedabad City (East), the additional responsibility has been assigned to DEO Rohit Chaudhary. Bhagwan Prajapati has been given charge of Gandhinagar (Rural), while district primary education officer Maheshkumar Pandey will oversee Vadodara (Rural). Similarly, Sanjay Parmar in Kutch, Dixit Patel in Rajkot, and Bhagirathsinh Parmar in Surat have been entrusted with the newly created rural DEO offices in their respective districts. The officials have been directed to assume their additional responsibilities with immediate effect.
