Ahmedabad: Construction work is under way on the under-construction flyover bridge at Vadaj Junction in the West Zone of the city. As part of the construction of the Vadaj flyover bridge, the crucial work of launching 41 metre-long girders for the span between PG-1 and GP-3 on the bridge leading from Vadaj Junction towards Gandhi Ashram commenced on the night of July 3. The target was set to complete this work within two days.According to information provided by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), the girder launching work for the Vadaj Junction flyover bridge is scheduled to be completed by the night of July 5. With the completion of this work, another significant milestone in the construction of the Vadaj Junction flyover bridge will be achieved, accelerating progress towards finishing the entire project within the stipulated deadline. This work will be carried out only during the night by closing one side of the road. Traffic will flow as usual during the day.An official from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation stated that all necessary technical planning has been put in place to complete the construction of the flyover bridge swiftly and systematically. Efforts are underway to ensure that the girder launching work is also completed according to the set schedule.
