Ludhiana: The six-day Ludhiana District Badminton Championship, organised by the Badminton Association of Ludhiana (BAL), concluded at Shastri Hall in Guru Nanak Stadium on Sunday, with organizers declaring final results across multiple age groups.The tournament featured around 600 boys and girls competing across various age categories from July 21 to July 26.In the Under-19 boys’ singles, Aditya Sharma secured first place, Krishav Kaplish came second, while Sravan Jain and Raghav Bhatia shared third. In the Under-19 girls’ singles, Upneet Kaur took top honors, followed by Sonali Bhagat in second, with Maanvi and PrabhNoor Kaur Matharu finishing joint third.In the Under-15 boys’ singles, Advik Bhatia won first position, Anakh Singh took second, and Vyom Chopra alongside Samarth Thapar placed third.

The Under-15 girls’ singles title went to Samaira Aggarwal, with Kaamil Sabharwal placing second, while Maanvi and Jaanvi tied for third.In the Under-11 boys’ singles, Madhav Jagga finished first, Devasya Gupta second, and Yuvain Kakkar and Arihant Mehta joint third. In the Under-11 girls’ singles, Aanya Tiwari placed first, Nitara Sharma second, and Sunder Kaur and Suhavi Kaur joint third.In doubles events, Amelia Bhakoo and Ananya Nijhawan won the Under-19 girls’ doubles, while Gurmanpreet and Saanvi Aggarwal took second. In the Under-19 boys’ doubles, Krishav and Vihaan secured first place, Raghav and Satvik placed second, while the duos of Himonish-Stavan and Arnav-Tanush shared third.Organisers stated that the prize distribution ceremony will take place on Monday, where senior BAL members will present winners with certificates, trophies, and medals.
