Karan SharmaLudhiana: A ceremony was organized at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan, Ludhiana, under the scheme ‘Bright Minds-Punjab 2026’. Punjab education minister Harjot Singh Bains and former deputy chief minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia attended this ceremony with an objective to establish a direct dialogue with students and teachers and to discuss the changes and reforms taking place in the education system.Along with this, meritorious students who scored more than 95% marks in Class XII were honored. Bains said, “These students are not only the future of their families, but also of Punjab and the country. He said these children would serve the country infuture by sitting in IAS, IPS, doctors, lawyers and other important positions.”“AI (Artificial Intelligence) has become a big topic in today’s time. Allthe countries are adopting this technology rapidly, so Punjabalso needs to keep pace with the times”. He said the Punjab governmenthad been working on it for the last one year and from next month, AIcurriculum will be launched in all the Punjab schools,” he added.Sisodia said that there was a need for major reforms in the current education system. He emphasisedthat providing quality education to every child was the biggest responsibility of a government, the progress of any country depended on its education system and strengthening it was the need of the hour.Education secretary Sonali Giri also addressed the teachers and students. She appealed to them to fight together against drugs, unemployment and shortcomings in the education system. She also made the students pledge to protect their rights and constitutional values, and contribute to the preservation of the motherland, culture and environment.The administration officials, local MLAs, education department officialsfrom Ludhiana along with students were present at the ceremony.
