The locations were mapped following a ground survey, with several of them having witnessed water accumulation during previous spells of heavy rain.To tackle any emergency, the MC has deployed dedicated round-the-clock teams at all hotspots. The teams, comprising engineering staff and operating in three shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am), will work under the supervision of sub-divisional engineers (SDEs) and junior engineers (JEs) to ensure swift drainage of accumulated rainwater. The civic body has stationed suction and jetting machines at identified locations and prepared a division-wise roster of sewer-cleaning machines and drivers for quick deployment during the rainy season.“Cleaning of drains and road gullies has been completed in most parts of the city.
