Bengaluru: A 23-year-old woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her jilted lover in JC Nagar, Kurubarahalli, late Sunday night. The victim is M Anjali of KP Agrahara.Police arrested the suspect, identified as Rajeev, 26, from Laggere, who works as an assistant at a used car unit. “Rajeev took her to a roadside eatery at 10pm. While eating egg and rice, Rajeev asked her why she was avoiding him. Anjali replied that her family was opposing their relationship since Rajeev has a criminal record, with cases like attempt to murder and robbery registered in his name,” an investigating officer said.Rajeev made a futile attempt to convince her. “When she firmly refused, Rajeev stabbed her in the neck,” police said.
