Noida: The body of a youth with severe head injuries was found near a canal in Greater Noida’s Kasna on Friday evening, police said.The deceased, Huzaib, was a resident of Dola Rajpura village in Dankaur. While the cause of death has not been confirmed yet, an officer said the injury marks on his head indicate that he may have been assaulted before his death. Huzaib’s family has also claimed he was murdered. Based on Huzaib’s father’s complaint, police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons.Locals in Kasna informed police that a body had been found near a canal on Friday. A police team reached the spot and found no suicide note or other material that could be used for self-harm.Investigators are now trying to determine how and why he reached the canal area before his death. Police teams have begun questioning local residents and individuals who may have seen him before the incident. CCTV footage from nearby locations is also being examined in an effort to trace his movements and identify any suspects. All possible angles are being probed, including accident, suicide and homicide.The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
