Bengaluru: A 46-year-old woman was killed and her teenage daughter seriously injured after a school bus allegedly rammed into their two-wheeler on Old Airport Road within the Whitefield traffic police limits Saturday morning.The deceased has been identified as Kantha C, 46, while her 16-year-old daughter, Neha T, sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital after surgery.According to police, the accident occurred on the stretch between Thubarahalli and Siddhapura when Kantha was riding her two-wheeler to drop her daughter at college from their residence in Marathahalli.Preliminary investigations suggest that a school bus approaching from behind hit the two-wheeler, causing both riders to fall on the road. Kantha died on the spot.The driver left the bus and fled the scene. A case has been registered and efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the driver.
