Bengaluru: A speeding Audi car rear-ended a gearless scooter near Chikkajala junction, killing the rider and injuring two others. Mahesh Kumar, 40, is the victim, while his wife Kala M, 35, and their minor daughter are recovering in hospital. Mahesh and his wife worked in a garment factory.Residents of Hunasamaranahalli, the three were riding back home after attending a wedding reception, police said. “CCTV footage shows the Audi car is involved in the accident, but we couldn’t read the license plate. We are adopting other techniques to trace the vehicle,” an investigating officer said.In another accident at Kote cross in Devanahalli, a rashly driven car ran over and milled a motorist. The victim is M Shekhar, a driver, who was riding back home after visiting his wife and nine-month-old son at his in-laws’ home in Nileri village.Police booked accused car driver Muralidharan Siddartha, a resident of Kanakapura Road, and seized his vehicle (KA-01-MG-5306).
