Chandigarh: Haryana agriculture minister Shyam Singh Rana said the India International Horticulture Market (IIHM), Ganaur, will give a major boost to the state’s horticulture sector. He said the project will provide farmers with better market access, modern facilities and opportunities to sell their produce globally.Rana presided over the 37th meeting of the Board of Directors of Haryana International Horticulture Marketing Corporation Ltd (HIHMCL) at Haryana Niwas here on Thursday.During the meeting, agenda items related to the development and operation of the India International Horticulture Market being set up at Ganaur in Sonipat district were discussed in detail. The board also discussed the proposal related to the selection of the transaction adviser and consultant (TAC). The board approved the request for proposal (RFP) for providing integrated consultancy services to support the operation of IIHM to expedite the process.Apart from this, the board also approved the proposal to extend the contract of EIL (authority engineer) till Dec 31, 2026, to ensure the smooth functioning of project-related activities.
