Ahmedabad: Two men were arrested on Monday with mephedrone valued ar Rs 12.4 lakh by the city crime branch. A team on patrol in the Gheekanta area received specific inputs leading to a raid opposite Navtad ni Pol. Two men, identified as Malaram Devasi and Ashok Darji were arrested with 412g of mephedrone on them. They have been booked under the NDPS Act.In a similar incident, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Ahmedabad Rural arrested two individuals for possession of hybrid ganja weighing 245g and valued at Rs 8.57 lakh.Based on specific intelligence, an SOG team conducted a raid in the Bopal police station area and nabbed the two allegedly trying to sell the contraband. The two have been identified as Yash Chauhan, 27, of Vadaj, and Niraj Patel, 42, of Bhadaj. They too have been booked under the NDPS Act.
