Kota: A 19-year-old was detained for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old girl in Kota, police said Tuesday.According to police, the incident happened Monday at noon.Bapawar SHO Suresh Meena said a case has been registered under BNS for charges of rape and kidnapping and under POCSO Act.“The accused belongs to the same village as the victim. Preliminary investigations indicated a single accused,” the SHO said.Police said the victim was admitted to New Medical College Hospital in Kota, where she is currently reported to be stable.According to police, the accused allegedly lured the minor to an isolated house in their village and sexually abused her. The victim, however, managed to escape and returned to her home.Her parents later approached the police and lodged a complaint.
