Jaipur: Rajasthan’s Deshna Jain, Aaradhya Jodha, and Riddhi Batra have qualified for the main draw of the Yonex-Sunrise All India Sub-Junior (U-15 and U-17) Ranking Badminton tournament at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium here on Monday.Vardhit and Varshit, from the host state, and Rajasthan’s Manan Sharma and Sai Sohan Kota of Andhra Pradesh pair have also advanced to the main draw.In the fifth and final qualifying round in the U-17 girls singles, Deshna defeated Aarna Karthik of Tamil Nadu 15-11, 15-6, Aaradhya downed Chandana C of Karnataka 15-8, 15-12, while Riddhi overcame a stiff challenge from Delhi’s Bhavika Jaiswal 15-9, 11-15, 15-9 to seal a place in the main draw.

In the U-17 boys doubles, the pair of Sai Sohan Kota and Manan Sharma thumped Rudra Pratap Singh Rajput and Dipanshu Verma of Delhi 15-3, 15-3, and the duo of Vardit and Varshit edged past Avenil of Karnataka and Kavi Sharma of Madhya Pradesh 17-15, 16-14.In the U-17 boys category, Sairaj Nayse entered the main draw of both singles and doubles. Sairaj of Maharashtra trounced Shubham Solanki of Uttar Pradesh 15-8, 15-12 in singles and in doubles, he along with Luwangamba of Manipur got the better of Rudransh Bhatt and Prithvi Rana of Delhi 15-7, 15-9.In the U-17 boys’ singles, Anshuman Chaudhary of Rajasthan has been ranked 9th, in the Under-15 boys’ singles, Satvik Agarwal has been ranked 13th, in the doubles, Shreyansh Chaudhary and Vayam Lamba have been ranked 2nd, Manan Sharma and Sai Sohan Kota have been ranked 5th.

In the mixed doubles of the same age group, Manan Sharma and Sarayu Ranjane have been ranked 8th.
