Bengaluru: A feud between two college classmates over a senior girl turned fatal in Nagarabhavi Wednesday, leaving a 19-year-old BCom student dead after he was stabbed in the chest. Police have arrested four persons, including three juveniles. The primary accused, identified as Bhuvan, remains at large.The deceased, Yogesh, a resident of Nagadevanahalli, was studying in his first year of BCom at a private college in Nagarabhavi. The prime suspect, Bhuvan, who was his classmate, had been persistently pursuing a senior female student from the same college.The tension escalated after Yogesh reportedly made disparaging remarks about the girl recently. On learning about this, an enraged Bhuvan instigated one of the juveniles to take revenge on Yogesh.He and the juvenile assembled a group of youths from Laggere and called Yogesh around 2.15pm to meet near a local gym behind the college campus. When Yogesh arrived at the spot along with his classmate, Bhuvan and his associates confronted him regarding the comments. An argument broke out and quickly turned violent. During the clash, one of the juveniles took out a knife, which was purchased online, and plunged it into Yogesh’s chest, a senior officer said.His classmate and another friend rushed Yogesh to a nearby private hospital, where he was declared brought dead. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack.Police nabbed the four, including Manoj, 19, a resident of Laggere. The juveniles, all aged 17 years, were sent to the state juvenile home, while Manoj is in police custody.
