Noida: A 26-year-old man died by suicide at his flat in Gaur City 5th Avenue, hours after an argument with his wife over her association with male friends, police said. The woman was booked for abetment to suicide after the deceased allegedly blamed her for abusing him in a video message recorded before his death.The victim’s brother noticed the lights in his room still on around 3.30 am on Tuesday and found him hanging when he went to check. Police said the family alleged the deceased had argued with his wife a few hours before the incident.In the video clip, circulating on social media and reviewed by police, the victim claimed he had repeatedly requested his wife to stop communicating with her male friends, but her refusal caused him much distress. He also claimed to have checked her call details and confronted her, following which she allegedly abused him.Police, however, said the authenticity and circumstances surrounding the recording were being verified. “The body was sent for autopsy, and the video has been sent for forensic analysis,” SHO Bisrakh Ranjeet Kumar said.The woman has been charged under BNS Section 108 (abetment to suicide).
