AMBALA: At least two people were killed and 15-20 are feared trapped after a three-storey under-construction building collapsed in Dhulkot village of Ambala, Haryana, on Sunday, officials said.NDRF, SDRF, local ambulance services and the fire brigade have been deployed at the site to carry out rescue operations.Ambala City SDM Darshan Kumar said several people had been hospitalised following the collapse.Two bodies have been recovered so far, Kumar said.“There is no concrete information yet about how many people are trapped inside. The exact number will be determined as the rescue operation progresses. Estimates range from 15 to 20 people, but nothing is confirmed yet,” Kumar told news agency ANI.Kumar said the ownership details of the building were not yet clear.He added that the contractor and the building owner had fled the scene and that appropriate action would be taken against those responsible.Rescue operations are continuing at the site.
