Noida: Three days after a woman bought the newly launched, coveted iPhone 18 Pro Max, it was snatched from her by two bike-borne men in Bisrakh. A case has been registered against the unidentified suspects at Bisrakh police station.The woman, Subhi Bhandari, is a blogger. In his complaint, Bhandari’s husband, Saket Gupta, said the incident took place near Ek Murti Chowk on Monday morning. Bhandari was in an e-rickshaw and was using the phone to pay the driver when the two men approached her.“They came up to my wife, asked whether it was the newly launched iPhone and requested her to hand over the phone so they could see it for themselves. When she gave them the phone, they fled immediately before she could understand what had happened,” Gupta wrote.The couple later approached police and lodged a complaint. The complaint mentioned that the bike the men used did not have a number plate.The iPhone 18 Pro Max was launched in India on Friday. The woman had bought it on the same day for Rs 1.6 lakh.A case under Section 304(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, pertaining to snatching, has been registered at Bisrakh police station against unidentified persons.Police said teams are examining CCTV footage from the route and surrounding areas to identify and trace the suspects.
