Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested three wanted suspects who arrived to take the Rajasthan Public Service Commission’s (RPSC) Sub-Inspector Combined Competitive Re-Examination 2021, held across the state Sunday.The arrests were made amid heightened security for the re-examination, conducted at 666 centres in 11 districts. ADG (SOG) Vishal Bansal said the three were among individuals being monitored during the exam.The SOG also flagged 50 candidates for discrepancies such as suspicious photographs, identical names, or duplicate application forms, and said their identities and credentials were being verified.To prevent attempts to compromise the examination, the SOG summoned about 1,200 suspicious persons and RPSC-debarred candidates to police stations for questioning. The agency also kept surveillance on wanted criminals who might use the examination to evade detection.A total of 2,18,114 candidates registered for the exam. In the first shift, 1,51,774 appeared, while 1,50,559 appeared in the second. Tonk recorded the highest attendance in both shifts.Police personnel were deployed at all examination centres to regulate entry and exit, manage traffic, and maintain law and order. Officials also monitored candidate movement and activities around centres to protect the confidentiality of the question paper.ADG (Law and Order) VK Singh said elaborate arrangements were in place to ensure the exam was conducted smoothly. DGP Rajiv Kumar Sharma urged candidates to view joining the police as a responsibility requiring discipline, honesty, and public service.
