Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu launched the state-wide ‘Swachhta Hi Seva 2026’ campaign at Mallo Tarin Govt Higher Secondary School here on Thursday.Khandu joined students, teachers, NCC cadets and officials in a cleanliness drive to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The month-long campaign is themed “Swachhta Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat”, an official statement from CMO said.Appealing to citizens to celebrate the PM’s birthday by lighting lamps in their homes and praying for his long life, Khandu urged students to turn cleanliness into a lifelong habit that extends beyond school campuses to homes and workplaces. “When the mind is clean, wisdom works in the right direction,” the CM said, recalling the nationwide Swachh Bharat Mission launched in 2014.
