Pune: The civic administration, for the first time, will showcase the city’s history through a light-and-sound show at Shaniwarwada in the evening from Sept 19 as part of the Ganeshotsav celebrations. The city’s journey over the years will be presented under the theme “Punawadi to Pune”.Each show will run for around 15 minutes, with multiple shows held continuously during the evening hours on the front walls of Shaniwarwada.Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) officials said the programme will be different from the existing light-and-sound show held inside the historic monument.“Teams are currently working on the technical details of the programme. The shows are planned to continue until Sept 24, allowing devotees visiting Ganapati pandals to experience the city’s history,” a civic official said.
